Cultural Responsibility

We had a staff meeting that looked at some of the documents that are from the ministry to support Māori and Pacific students.

We compared the two documents and looked at the frameworks in both books.

Ako - Practice in the classroom and beyond.
Wānanga - Communication, problem solving, innovation.
Manaakitanga - Values: integrity, trust, sincerity, equity.
Tangata Whenuatanga - Place-based, socio-cultural awareness and knowledge.

School Assembly

Here is our school song and mihi. This is our Monday morning school assembly program. It's is a great way for everyone to learn our school song and practice it as well as our school mihi. It sets the school up for the week.

Learning Site

This is my third year with a learning site. I find this a really exciting way to share learning with the students as it gives tham a chance to develop self management skills.
